FAMOUS HORSES
Easter Hero 1920Easter Hero was the first of the new breed of steeplechaser. In March 1928 he had won six races in a row in England, and became a leading public fancy for the Cheltenham Gold Cup but didn’t run until the following year for the first of his two wins in the race. Easter Hero was also one of the few horses to complete the Gold Cup/Champion Chase double.
