RACING TERMS
Blazewhite face marking. In addition to a blaze other face markings include white face, where the whole forehead between the eyes and down to the muzzle is white. A snip is an isolated white marking near the nostril. White muzzle is where the area of lips and nostrils are white. All racehorses have markings recorded in their passport and all unraced racehorses have these carefully checked on arrival at the racecourse before their first run.
