RACING TERMS
Bonemeasurement of the leg’s circumference below the knee or hock. The amount of desirable bone is dependent upon what sort of racing a horse is intended for. A horse racing on the flat requires less bone than one racing over jumps - which is subject to greater stresses and has to withstand the repetitive impacts of jumping and landing.
