Chesnutcoat colour. Chesnut is the less favoured of all the colours although there is no evidence to suggest that they are any less successful on the racecourse. But sales statistics suggest that bays command a much better price at auction. Chesnut fillies and mares have to contend with a reputation that suggests they are fiery tempered and difficult to handle.
