Conformationproportions and structure of a horse. The conformation of a horse describes its physical features and attributes as well as its faults. There's no such thing as perfect conformation as judgement is down to personal preferences regarding type, size, build and overall appearance. However there are several elements of conformation which can seriously compromise a horse in the show ring and significantly affect performance of the racehorse on the racetrack.
